Cancún Golf Course – (Cancún)

(5/5) I played the course 3 times We got here from the shuttle from the hotel next to the 13th par 3 hole Checked in with the pro shop where a smile wouldn’t have been out of place. That said I do know what its like to suddenly be bombarded with questions by customers that dont speak the native language The outside staff were great. The procedure is different you dont get the key to your cart until 5 minutes or so before your tee time. The course was in excellent condition nicely kept it did have some heavy rain overnight and the course held up well and a few hours later you wouldn’t know. On the 8th tee we caught up a 4 ball who apologised for being slow but they were part of a 18 group on a stag/birthday group playing a scramble The 4 ball disappeared on after the 9th and as can be seen from the photo there was a 6 ball in front of us now. The next hole we found an 8 ball in front of them. Anyway the Marshall came out and sorted them out and let us play through. The concession cart lady said the she only took dollars and didn’t give change. Which as a can of coke cost $3 dollars and we were from the Uk small notes are almost unheard of when changing money so a can of coke would have cost us £4.50 so we stuck with the provided water Great course the 18 green is not the hole to thin your ball through the green into a multi million dollar yacht The signs for the crocodiles ain’t there for show we saw a 15 footer on the 10th tee box so dont go looking for balls too far in. We played it twice more no croc’s, got hotter everyday, still no change and still no smile Great course its also the cheapest in the area. They might be one cheaper but it involved a taxi so that was out.
